Simply add this filter to your tank with a bubbler to instantly improve the health of your ecosystem and make the water healthy for your fish.
This sponge filter is approximately 120mm tall, and it connects to a standard aquarium airline tube. It is guaranteed to contain beneficial bacteria that can help with your aquarium’s cycle. It can also be used as a ‘rescue’ to help clean the water in crashed or unhealthy tanks, but we still highly recommend performing a daily 75% water change until the tank is stable again.
To make FISHIT!, we clean all of our filters in a central tank, which is aerated, treated for pests/parasites, and maintained to be an ideal breeding ground for beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Each FISHIT! product contains gunk from 30+ different established filters, and this gunk is extremely rich with bacteria as well as food for the bacteria to continue multiplying and thriving. This bacteria needs oxygen to thrive as well, so we intentionally fill our containers with a bit of air left just before we ship them. They never sit on shelves. This way, the package is constantly being handled and oxygen is being constantly dissolved into the water, providing oxygen to the aerobic bacteria contained within. FISHIT! products are generally shelf-stable for about 5 days after shipping.
