Growing pothos or other houseplants out of my aquariums is one of my favorite ways to beautify my tanks while also making the water healthier and cleaner. One major issue with many methods of growing plants this way, though, is their roots. They’ll look great for a few months until their roots take over half of the entire tank, blocking out the light for your aquatic plants and making that part of the tank nearly unusable.
We designed The Propagation Tube with this in mind- an elegant solution to allow houseplants to easily grow in an aquarium without letting roots get out of control. The simple, beautiful design allows roots to grow through the holes, but keeps them enclosed and easy to trim if necessary. The hexagonal tube is perfect for practically any houseplants, while allowing the roots to be easy to trim if needed.
The Propagation Tube features a clever modular design with hexagons that attachments can ‘snap’ securely into. We include a cleverly designed hook that hooks onto any size tank securely, rimless or rimmed, no problem. The hook can be moved up and down and connected in any way you like. And new attachments are available all the time, including links to HexaLink floating tiles, or to connect multiple Propagation Tubes together!
The Propagation Tube is 3D-Printed in durable PETG plastic which won’t become brittle or leech chemicals into your aquarium water.
