Persicaria Odorata is a unique and beautiful bamboo-like plant from Southeast Asia. It grows beautiful green and purple leaves in a high tech setup, but also grows easily in low tech setups with greenish leaves bearing a red mark close to the stem.

These plants MAY BE SOLD EMERSED making them the only emersed plant we’ve ever sold- because our backyard just so happens to be full of it. It is relatively easy to convert to submerged form, and simply requires you to plant the stem underwater then trim off the rotting emersed leaves after a few days. New, more colorful submerged growth will sprout in less than a week.

We’ll try to include submerged growth if at all possible, but we’ll include about 2x a portion if the plant is sold emersed. If you only want submerged, please leave a note and we’ll substitute it with something else if we don’t have any.

This product includes 2-3 stems of Persicaria Odorata.

Midground to Background Plant. It’s broad leaves take up lots of space, but it does grow slower than other stems and can look great with a taller more colorful plant behind it.

LOW TECH PLANT - This plant doesn’t need much to grow happily other than nutrients and light. More light and nutrients will yield more beautiful colors and growth.
