Bottom Feeder Brittle - Homemade Fish Food
The perfect combo with our Shrimp Doubloons is our Bottom Feeder Brittle. This fish ‘brittle’ is made with all the same delicious ingredients as our Doubloons with loads of fresh and delicious ingredients. It’s perfect for shrimp, inverts, snails, and pretty much any fish. It’s also topped with delicious shrimpy toppings, including snowflake food, pollen, pea protein, nettle leaves, and spirulina algae.
This food is perfect for adding to tanks with fewer shrimp, baby shrimp, or tanks with fish as well as shrimp. The flakes are easy to break apart and portion, so you can easily add a small flake to nano-tanks or sprinkle in multiple big chunks for larger tanks. Prepare for your shrimp, snails, and fish to swarm the brittle as they break it apart and scatter the snowflake food around the tank for your shrimp and snails! There are no fillers and it won’t add additional waste, and the snowflake food will be quickly scattered by any current or fish even if shrimp don’t eat it.
We recommend you add enough for your tank to eat in about 2-3 hours. If you have a lot of fish or snails, try adding multiple small pieces instead of one large piece. You can feed every day if you like, but I prefer to feed every 3 days or so, or feed one long-lasting Doubloon each week and supplement with Brittle near the end of the week.
