FISHIT! Instant Tank Cycle

from $9.99

NEW - Check out our QUICK-CYCLE PACK for an amazing bargain to cycle and plant your tank all in one!

New aquarium? Don't want to wait months for it to cycle? Just FISHIT! One pouch of FISHIT! contains billions of live bacteria from another real, established freshwater aquarium to rapidly establish the biofilter of a new aquarium. Most "bottled bacteria" products contain sugars or inactive bacteria so the products can be shelf stable... This is fish poop. Hence the name. We can't be more blunt: This is, quite literally, a pouch of fish poop. BUT! IT WORKS!

To make FISHIT!, we clean all of our filters in a central tank, which is aerated, treated for pests/parasites, and maintained to be an ideal breeding ground for beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Each pouch of FISHIT! contains gunk from 30+ different established filters, and this gunk is extremely rich with bacteria as well as food for the bacteria to continue multiplying and thriving. This bacteria needs oxygen to thrive as well, so we intentionally fill our pouches with a bit of air left just before we ship them. They never sit on shelves. This way, the package is constantly being handled and oxygen is being constantly dissolved into the water, providing oxygen to the aerobic bacteria contained within. FISHIT! is generally shelf-stable for about 5 days after shipping.

Ask any aquarist, the easiest way to start a new aquarium is to squeeze dirty filter media from an existing tank to it. So, that's all FISHIT! is!

Simply add the entire 8oz pouch of liquid directly to any tank while the filter is running to kick-start the cycle. After adding FISHIT!, you can safely stock your tank lightly with fish and perform a daily 50% water change. Generally, after adding FISHIT!, it is immediately safe to add fish, and the tank will be fully stable and cycled in less than a week.

More FISHIT! cycles your aquarium faster! We recommend using one pouch per 20 gallons of water, but even adding one pouch to a 75g tank will dramatically help the cycling process.

We also offer pre-cycled filter media that can be added directly to your filter. FISHIT! generally works faster to cycle new tanks, but the pre-cycled filter media is perfect if you don't already have filter media.
